Desiree and Eric’s engagement pictures at Laguna Beach

It’s refreshing to see a young couple so in love and able to have fun just being together. Dez and Eric are the perfect examples of such a couple. I say this because they were constantly affectionate and at times they just kept giggling together. It truly didn’t matter where they were or what they were doing – it was all about being together. They were up for anything and wanted to make the most of their pre wedding photo shoot, and enjoy every moment of it!

Tomi + Olu | Nigerian Nuptials

Just a teaser from Tomi and Olu’s California Destination Wedding:
Things like this only happen once in a life time. When Tomi and Olu booked me to shoot their wedding at the Trump National Golf Club in Palos Verdes, I really had no idea what I was in for. Many of their family and guests traveled from Nigeria, the east coast, and from other parts of the world. But the most distinguished guests were the acting president and first lady of Nigeria! Ally & Dave | The Athenaeum in Caltech Pasadena

Ally and Dave’s wedding in Pasadena reflected their sense of style, elegance, and a taste for gorgeous settings. The details were amazing, her couture dress was beyond graceful, her Jimmy Choo shoes were utterly stylish. Their wedding ceremony was held at the First United Methodist Church of Pasadena – which boasts classical architecture and austere details. I loved how light trickled through the ornate stained-glass windows on one side of the church. The wedding was followed by their grand reception in The Athenaeum at Caltech Pasadena – reminiscent of Greek and Roman design, the open air atrium provided a magnificent backdrop for their celebration. Amazing florals adorned the pillars and table settings, created by Hidden Garden Floral Design.

iPad Friendly

Just FYI for those who like to browse the web using the iPad, this blog/website is now swipe-able! There’s not a lot of apps out there (yet) made for smart phones or tablets that help brides utilize the internet for their wedding planning. This app is a great start to allowing the iPad user to easily navigate and swipe through my wedding photography site.

For the hip bride who’s planning her destination wedding using Apple products like the iPad or iPhone – this site is officially iPhone/iPad friendly. Wedding pictures, engagement photos, destination weddings, Orange County wedding photography, Los Angeles photojournalism, and any other topic can also be viewed and swiped just like any gallery app. Props go to the developers of Padpressed and Onswipe.

Not too far away from the wedding venue was the Pismo Dunes State Preserve – it was a unique and surreal place. Being surrounded by the tall sand dunes felt like we were lost in the middle of nowhere. It was tough getting anywhere because we kept sinking in the sand. Julia and Mike were such good sports to let me shoot in the middle of this landscape.

I’ve been looking forward to this wedding since the first time Julia and Mike talked to me about booking me for their destination wedding in San Luis Obispo. Julia made the perfect choice in The Dolphin Bay Resort and Spa at Pismo Beach – great ocean views, amazing coastal weather, a great venue, and beautiful California beaches. On top of all that, I had the best looking couple to photograph!
